From the Developer
Hello! Thank you for visiting. My name is Kerry Kobashi and I am the developer of Qlicksoft CMS.
So you want to know what Qlicksoft CMS is about. Its HTML5, CSS3, and PHP running on an Apache HTTP server. The design is simple and minimalist.
It uses one level categorization to force you to really think hard about your website topic. From the categories you add, it lets you deliver to your audience a one level top menu navigation structure to scoot around the site. It emplores you to mirror the requested URI path with the underlying web server file system.
By having all this in place, you end up with a lightweight, database-less CMS that acts like a file server serving up resources.
A website doesn't need to be a complicated beast. With Qlicksoft CMS, I developed this so that anyone with knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and Apache can quickly build, operate, extend, and maintain their own website.
What makes Qlicksoft CMS different than the other guys? It's a micro CMS with very little lines of code to drive it. The gist of it is that what the user enters in as a request gets checked for existence. This resource (content) is wrapped up nicely with a HTML page layout from a theme.
You should be able to sit down and go through three small PHP source files in one sitting and come away knowing what its about. I took great care to document the source code so that it can be easily digested.
To make page layout simple, I use the Mustache template standard and marry it with PHP heredoc strings. This lets you easily describe the HTML document structure and specify content zones to be filled.
The default Qlick theme includes Mustache templates, responsive CSS flexbox for targeting various screen device sizes are provided to get you started. All you have to do is create the HTML content and style it with CSS. You can also create your own page template layouts and create PHP snippets to fill in content zones.
To demonstrate Qlicksoft CMS utility, this website is built on it.
With all this, and its small micro size, this lets you be the master of your own domain.
